Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop
Lulu’s has been one of my regular stops for spicy vegetarian dishes for the past 15 years. These days, we frequently visit their Westwood, Kansas location. Lulu’s has a special “No Meat” menu with over 14 entrees and many vegetarian sides.

Mud Pie Vegan Bakery
Mud Pie isn’t just a fabulous vegan bakery, it’s a Kansas City coffeehouse institution. Two locations, one 39th Street and in Overland Park.

Waldo Pizza: Classic Kansas City Pizza With Vegan Options
Waldo’s style of pizza could be described as “standard pizza house style.” There are no special gimmicks, just lots of options, executed well, with fresh ingredients.

Kansas City-area restaurants you’ll never eat at again, part 1
This week, Chuck Eats KC has access to a culinary time machine. We can travel back in time to visit restaurants in the Kansas City area. Our travels today will mostly reflect my memories and favorites, but I have badgered a few friends for names of restaurants they fondly remember. Feel free to add your memories of these places or others in the comments below. There will be further visits by our time machine to Kansas City restaurants of yesteryear.
