Chinese take-out is a staple of the American diet, with roughly half of Americans ordering food for take-out or delivery on a weekly basis. Many of us have our favorite, dependable take-out restaurants and if you are like me, you have your go-to dishes. For me, that dish is tofu in black beans and garlic sauce (which I’ll talk about in a future blog post).
Rice House in south Kansas City, Missouri is one of my favorite Chinese take-out places. I’m really happy with them because they do black beans and tofu very well. For me, having this dish on the menu and getting it right is a sign that I’ve found a quality dependable take out place. I’m a big fan of tofu in my entrees, as a lifelong vegetarian, and I see Chinese takeout as the best opportunity to enjoy a tofu dish.
Dining companion #2 really likes their mixed vegetable entrees.
The service is always efficient, helpful and friendly. They have a dining area with tables and booth options. Plenty of parking right off State Line Road.
