The 640 Pizza and Pints: Comfy Pizzeria in Weston, Missouri

640 Pizza and Pints in downtown Weston, Missouri may not just be a small town pizzeria, it should be a destination pizzeria for at least area diners living north of KCMO. I’ve been very impressed with my two experiences with their pizza in the past year. My first sample was at a booth they had set up last Fall for Weston’s annual Apple Fest. More recently, I went into the restaurant and got a pizza for takeout.

My first slice from 640 Pizza was a cheese slice I bought from their table at Apple Fest last fall. I was impressed enough to make a mental note to try the restaurant when I got a chance. The cheese slice had that pan pizza vibe, like something that people of my age fondly remember getting from Pizza Hut in the 1980s. Good sauce flavors, tasty bread, and good cheese.

Recently, I picked up a pizza for takeout to enjoy with my father (who turns 92 this week). I ordered a “Build Your Own” pizza, as I wanted to keep half of the pizza vegetarian for myself. I assume that we got the original crust. My side was my go-to, black olives and mushrooms, while my father’s side was sausage.

While I was waiting, I checked out the interior (below), which had the vibe of a small pizzeria in a historic, small town building. Brick walls. Tin roof ceiling. The seating included booths, tables, and counters.

The service was friendly and helpful.

We loved our pizza. I don’t get pizza often, for dietary reasons, so this hit a home run for me. I look forward to trying some of their signature pies. Speaking of signature pizzas, here are some noteworthy formats:

  • Dr. Taco Lovegun – Seasoned hamburger meat, refried beans, cheddar and mozzarella cheese topped with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, black olives and green onions. Served with side of sour cream and salsa.
  • Meat Me in Weston – Pepperoni, sausage, bacon crumbles, Canadian bacon, bell peppers, black olives, red onion, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese.
  • Tree Hugger – Bell pepper, red onions, black olives, diced tomatoes, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese.

They have 14 specials on Wednesdays. And they have salads, sandwiches and calzones. I’m curious how their calzones are, because I sense 640 does them right.
