Hummus and Pita Expands
Hummus and Pita, a Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Overland Park, has expanded their space, doubling the seating area. I’m a huge fan of their falafel sandwiches and fries.
Made for KC BBQ Contest in Weston, Missouri
The third annual Made for KC BBQ Championship was held in early October in Weston, Missouri. The barbecue teams and pitmasters were competing for a chance to become the pitmaster at Kansas City BBQ Experience Restaurant in the Kansas City International Airport. This year’s winner, Meat Rushmore BBQ, will take over that role in early 2025.
The competition, which was held in the parking lots around Weston City Hall, awarded cash prizes in multiple categories. Mos of the winners can be found listed here.
