On Wednesday this past week, a large new international market opened in Overland Park. World Fresh Market is a new concept by the owner of El Mercado Fresco, a chain of local Latino markets.

640 Pizza and Pints in downtown Weston, Missouri may not just be a small town pizzeria, it should be a destination pizzeria for at least area diners living north of KCMO. I’ve been very impressed with my two experiences with their pizza in the past year.

Recently I had lunch at Talk of the Town on 135th Street in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a sports bar with a comprehensive menu of upscale “bar food.”
